Mariru is a Kikuyu word that loosely translates to flowers. The word is mostly used old Kikuyu love songs and I love how it is used to describe or define beauty.
Anyone who knows me know that I am a lucky go lucky person and I wanted to translate this energy into beautiful fabric art that can be used as house decor. This birthed Mariru; our round fabric art pieces that I handmake.
Mariru is currently available in two fabric types: black and white mud-cloth and black with yellow, green and white circles fabric. However, the fabric range will increase with time as I work on bringing more vibrant energy to your space.
